Thursday, March 7, 2019, is a sad day that will live in infamy.
It is the day that Nancy Pelosi, the female speaker of the House of Representative, slipped in her heels and caved to radicals.
All the talk by the liberal MSM and Democrats of Nancy Pelosi being a “badass” was just empty talk for she isn’t a “badass”. What she is is a feeble old woman whose heels are being held by the radical arm of her party.
That arm of the party consists of Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (NY), Rashida Tlaib (Mich) and Ilhan Omar (Minn), all freshmen representatives. These women tend to wield a great deal of power on the Hill. Perhaps one of them should be Speaker of the House, for it is they who seem to be running things and not Nancy.
Nancy has been reduced to puppet status by these young millennials. She has become a tragic disappointment. She is nothing to be admired or emulated.
So what if she stood up (as the left claims) to President Trump over border control. That was expected. However, when it was time for her to stand tall in her heels and denounce the evil, hateful, anti-semitic rhetoric coming from Rep. Omar, she faltered.
She could not bring herself nor convince her party to support a resolution condemning Omar by name on the House floor. The resolution presented was watered down so as not to remotely seem to be directed toward Omar.
Even if Pelosi wanted to call Omar out she couldn’t, for Cortez and Tlaib had her by the heels and wouldn’t let her. Some are even saying Cortez threatened to tell her 2 million Instagram followers to speak out against the Speaker if she directed a resolution toward Omar. Scared and afraid Nancy crumbled.
She made excuses and blamed Omar’s words on her culture (she was born in Somali) and lack of knowledge of the history of Jews in the States and the world. Really? If true, all the more reason to denounce her if she is from a culture in Somali that practices and says hateful things about Jews. This is a problem we have now with some mosque in the states whose clerics teach hate for Americans and Jews.
If the Speaker of the House can’t call out anti-semitism or is afraid to do so who can? We don’t want to become like England. Allowing hate speech to fester is very dangerous and must not be allowed.
So, so much for “badass” Nancy. She could have been a contender showing her party who was in control in those high heels, but she didn’t.
Instead, all her big talk about standing up against racism and bigotry was empty, for, in the end, she ended up turning a blind eye on what she talked against. Thus becoming another woman in heels done in by other women.
