BREAKING NEWS: SEVERAL POLICE OFFICERS SHOT IN PHILADELPHIA

A Breaking News Story: At least six police officers shot in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The situation is being described active and ongoing shooting at this time 5:31 p.m. but was reported at 4:30 p.m..

North End of Philly is the reported scene of the shooting.

Over one hundred of rounds of gun fire reported.

One police officer allegedly shot in the head another in the arm. One officer in critical condition. Others shot but conditions unknown at this time.

Officers are said to be in stable condition.

Police officer shot in the head is reportedly conscious and communicating with officials.

As per reports, officers called for backup frantically saying “shots fired, shots fired at North 15th street.”

One suspect is in custody but another still not apprehended. It is not known if the person apprehended is the shooter or an accomplice.

Several hundred police are at the scene at this time.

Shooting victims are being brought to Temple University Hospital.

Police still have weapons drawn. There is a suspect who is still on the scene and police are allegedly communicating with the armed person.

Fifth officer injured was driving to the scene and was hurt in an accident in attempting to reach the scene.

Two police officers said to be barricaded inside.

People are told to stay inside and not come out to look.

More officers have been shot. No life threatening injuries as of this time.

The suspect is said to be picking off cops.

Gunman still inside and shooting. More shots have been heard.

Police are reported to have entered the building where the shooter is located.

Man inside a multi family dwelling is still firing his weapon.

This is an ongoing situation and changes can be made to this report.

Update: This was an alleged  drug deal gone wrong.

Officers with the Narcotics Strike Force were serving a warrant for an alleged drug deal.

Most people were respectful to the police as they were under fire but there were some people who had to respect for law enforcement and yelled obscenities at the police officers who were under fire.
