Spread the love

Black youths attacked yet another identifiable Jew last night in New York. Please join the Rally against Antisemitism this Sunday, September 22nd, at noon, at the City Hall Park (249 Broadway). Antisemitism comes in all colors, all political views, and from all social constructs. Stand and fight against this epidemic and demand proper protection!

” The attacks include verbal abuse and antisemitic epithets. In the case where Farook Afzal beat the shit out of an elderly man he was screaming he wished he could kill all jews. ” – Debra Corso

Some people are blaming “the squad” for the recent attacks:

These attacks are nothing new. They’re an epidemic. A simple Google Search yielded hundred of incidents like the ones below.

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – The NYPD released new video late Monday night of four teens wanted in a series of violent crimes against Jewish men in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Meanwhile, Gov. Andrew Cuomo has instructed the New York State Police Hate Crimes task force to join the investigation.
Three Jewish men, ages 56 to 71, were punched in the face between 5 and 6 a.m. Monday. Two of the victims had to be taken to the hospital.

The incidents now pass without much notice, a steady, familiar drumbeat of violence and hate targeting visibly Jewish people in New York City.
Early on the morning of June 15, a Saturday, two men in a white Infiniti drove around Borough Park, a vast,  traditional Orthodox Jewish neighborhood in central Brooklyn. Surveillance footage posted on the local website BoroPark24 showed a man jumping out of the car’s passenger side as someone in a shtreimel and long black jacket walked down the sidewalk in their direction. As the car idled, the passenger approached the Jewish stranger, lunged at him in a linebacker-like stutter-step, and then darted to the waiting vehicle, which promptly sped away. Levi Yitzhak Leifer, head of the Borough Park Shmira neighborhood patrol, said there were at least six and as many as nine reported incidents that night involving the same vehicle. Beresch Freilich, a rabbi who serves as a community liaison with the NYPD in Borough Park, said that some of the targeted individuals sensed a violent intent: “The car passed by going back and forth, and they felt it was trying to run them over.”

NEW YORK (JTA) — At the end of August, the New York Police Department Hate Crimes Task Force investigated an alleged anti-Semitic attack near Brower Park in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn.
Someone had allegedly thrown a block of ice at a Hasidic man driving a car. It was the second allegedly anti-Semitic attack that week, coming days after an assailant had bashed a Hasidic man’s head with a brick.

Join the rally and demand safety! Demand something be done about these senseless, hateful attacks!
