The US Womens soccer team in a lawsuit claims they are not paid equally in violation of the federal law. They claim they deserve equal pay to the US mens soccer team who generate more revenue.

They took the field with their jerseys inside out hiding the USA logo while representing the country. Watch below

The USSF said in a filing in the case, which is scheduled to go to trial in federal district court that the women are not entitled to the same pay as their male’s since their jobs do not require “equal skill, effort and responsibility under similar working conditions.” Also they do not gross nearly as much revenue as the mens soccer team.

The wording hurt captain Megan Rapinoes feelings and now the ladies are lashing out in protest

Rapinoe said in a statement

“Every negotiation that we have, those undertones are there, that we’re lesser,” Rapinoe told ESPN after the game. “Every mediation session that we had, any time we meet with them and obviously, the reason that we filed this lawsuit.”
