A five-year-old boy riding his bike was approached by 25-year-old Darius N. Sessoms, who proceeded to aim a gun at the toddler’s head, and pulled the trigger. Darius executed young 5-year-old Cannon Hinnant in cold blood. His sisters witnessed the event.
According to neighbors, Darius N. Sessoms lives next door to the victim’s family on Archers Road, and just had dinner at their home.
Sessoms served two prison terms in 2017, one for felony drug possession and another for felony firearms and drug charges.
Three times, his record shows, police charged him with maintaining a house for drug activity while living on Archers Road. He was convicted in one case; another was dismissed and another charge was still pending.
