Just in case you missed it, it was announced today that Fox News has hired liberal talking head, Donna Brazile.
While Fox News is seemingly silencing the conservative voice of Judge Jeanine Pirro, they are opening the mouth of a liberal.
In a statement, Fox said, “Brazile, a veteran Democrat strategist, will offer political analysis across both [Fox News] and FOX Business Network’s daytime and primetime programming.”
Brazile said in an opinion piece for Fox, “There’s an audience on FOX News that doesn’t hear enough from Democrats,” she continued. “We have to engage that audience and show Americans of every stripe what we stand for rather than retreat into our ‘safe spaces’ where we simply agree with each other. For there is no safety in self-limiting numbers.”
“You can be darn sure that I’m still going to be me on FOX News,” Brazile assured. “I’m going to do what I always do: and dish it out straight, exactly as I see it, with just as much New Orleans hot sauce as folks expect.”
The hire was not without criticism. Twitter was abuzz with questions asking why Fox would hire the Democrat analyst. This follows the networks decision to not to air the popular Pirro’s show this past Saturday. The removal of the show was a result of the Judge questioning Rep. Ilan Omar (D) allegiance to America.
The former CNN political analyst isn’t unknown to controversy. During the 2016 Presidential Election, she found herself caught up in a presidential debate scandal. She was accused of providing Hillary Clinton with debate questions against her opponent Bernie Sanders. The accusation eventually resulted in her departure from CNN.
After the election, she wrote a controversial book titled “Hack.” In the book, Brazile claimed that the DNC acted in favor of Clinton’s campaign over Bernie Sanders during the Democrat primaries. She also said that after Clinton’s infamous collapse in September 2016, there was the talk of replacing her as the Democratic presidential nominee. Also addressed in her book was how Russia hacked the DNC’s computer system.
In 2000, Brazile was the presidential campaign manager for former Vice President Al Gore’s failed run for the White House.
