President Donald Trump signed four executive orders aimed at giving coronavirus relief through executive action on Saturday as Congress is currently at a stand still.
Trump’s first executive order gives a payroll tax cut holiday from August 1, 2020 through the end 2020.
The second directs the Department of Housing and Urban Development and other federal agencies to prohibit evictions for the rest of the year.
The third order establishes a $400-per-week addition to the paycheck protection program for workers.
The fourth will give relief for Americans’ student loans.
“It will be rapidly distributed,” Trump said.
