However, because of fear that some won’t like the results of the election, should their candidate not win, the walls are coming back up. Many merchants and business owners are trying to protect themselves from costly damages that they endured this summer. This summer riots and looting caused billions of dollars in damages. Law enforcement agencies seemed helpless in enforcing the law to protect businesses from the riots and looting. This a result of police departments being defunded in states around the country.

So taking nothing for chance New York City is bordering up. Other states are also preparing for possible post election riots and violence.
