The War on Conservatives

We reported to you last week that President Trump met with Twitter’s Jack Dorsey in a closed-door meeting. They discussed censorship of Conservatives among other undisclosed topics.

Did anything come of it? I think we’re just now beginning to see the backlash. Facebook and Instagram have recently banished several big names on their platforms, saying they violated guidelines on “dangerous individuals.”

The companies removed Paul Nehlen, Milo Yiannopoulos, Paul Joseph Watson and Laura Loomer, along with Alex Jones and Jones’ site, Infowars. For good measure and to not look too bias, they also banned Louis Farrakhan, an American black minister and racist individual who is the leader of the religious group Nation of Islam (NOI).

The war began subtly, with shadowbans (remember when Twitter denied that they even do this?), and time-outs, with credit card providers and internet hosting sites denying services to Conservatives. Now Twitter is limiting followers and search banning people as well, so none of your content will ever show up to curious onlookers on their sites. Now it looks like it will be a battle to the end. The Media giants want to silence us, and we are running out of places to turn.

Infowars is subject to the strictest ban. Facebook and Instagram will remove any content containing Infowars videos, radio segments, or articles (unless the post is explicitly condemning the content), and Facebook will also remove any groups set up to share Infowars content and events promoting any of the banned extremist figures, according to a company spokesperson. (Twitter, YouTube, and Apple have also banned Jones and Infowars.)

Make no mistake, this is election meddling on a global scale. This is extreme manipulation of the narrative. We told you a while ago about the blatant attack on the President’s Twitter account.

Twitter caught censoring the President on Video.

President Trump is thankfully watching closely.

I don’t know of a single Conservative that has called for someone to be hung…at least not in my circle of friends. I can’t name a single one.

I can however focus your attention elsewhere…

Facebook lets it go as well../

Threatening the President of the United States is a federal felony under United States Code Title 18, Section 871. It consists of knowingly and willfully mailing or otherwise making “any threat to take the life of, to kidnap, or to inflict bodily harm upon the President of the United States”.

In the latest undercover Project Veritas video investigation, nine current and former Twitter employees are on camera explaining steps the social media giant is taking to censor political content that they don’t like.

James Woods is in Twitter jail for simply quoting Ralph Waldo Emerson.

“The tweet was apparently in reference to the Mueller report, which found no conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia. The quote is from Ralph Waldo Emerson and has been used in various forms in movies and TV shows like The Wire,” the Breitbart report noted. “Nevertheless, this post apparently met the threshold on Twitter for ‘abusive behavior.’”

So am I to believe Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and the like are okay with calls to assassinate the president, are okay with massive calls to punch people in the face, bullying schoolchildren? The fact that these people are still on the platform, and still have jobs is incredible.

Let’s set the record straight. This is not an attack on our free speech, it’s an attack on certain speech. Speech they don’t agree with. The tech giants obviously agree with the above statements, since they have not been banned or silenced, and their follower counts continue to grow.

No matter what side you’re on, you have to admit these are scary times. We cannot allow our voices to be silenced. This is a virtual Orwellian nightmare that we can’t wake up from.

I’m not calling for government regulation. I’m calling for 1st Amendment Rights to be upheld on Social Media platforms. Saying that Twitter/Facebook/Instagram etc are all private companies and the rules do not apply to them, does not hold water with me.

Mainly since there is now a precedent set. The President and other political representatives of the US cannot block people on Twitter. The judge ruled it was a public forum.

Mr Trump frequently turns to Twitter to make policy statements, his account qualifies as a public forum from which the government cannot exclude people on the basis of their views.
Judge Buchwald agrees, saying the platform is a “designated public forum” from which Mr Trump can’t exclude individuals.

So…notice they didn’t just say Trump. They said Twitter is a public platform, therefore, they cannot legally silence Conservatives without stepping on our First Amendment Rights.

update: mark dice agrees with me!!

Enter Devin Nunes.

He’s going after Twitter in a big way.

Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) has sued Twitter and three of its users for $250 million in damages, alleging that he was defamed and that the social media juggernaut engages in the “shadow-banning” of conservative opinions and selectively enforces its terms of service to benefit opponents of the Republican Party.
Nunes also claims in the 40-page lawsuit, dated Monday and filed in the Virginia Circuit Court in Henrico County on Tuesday, that Twitter sought to influence his 2018 reelection race and interfere with his investigation into Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign and Russian involvement in the 2016 elections. Nunes oversaw that inquiry as chairman of the House Intelligence Committee — a role he held until Democrats officially retook the House in January.
