Federal Officers Shot , one Killed : Oakland : Two officers were shot by a gunman in a vehicle late last night. One has died due to their wounds, the other is in critical condition.
FBI San Francisco stated ,”An individual inside the vehicle began firing gunshots at contract security officers for the Federal Protective Service of the Department of Homeland Security.”
The FBI is investigating the shooting, which occurred at 9:45 p.m. at the Ronald V. Dellums Federal Building.
The Federal Protective Service is used “to prevent, protect, respond to and recover from terrorism, criminal acts, and other hazards threatening the U.S. Government’s critical infrastructure, services, and the people who provide or receive them,” according to DHS.
Federal Officers Shot : Buildings Burned and Looted
The riots, which have spread nationwide, are in response to the death of George Floyd. Buildings burned, stores looted, news reporters attacked at the White House, one woman raped and killed in Minneapolis, and a looter shot and killed by the shop owner are now the legacy this “peaceful protest” has left behind.
